Approximately 250 participants from various professional and cultural backgrounds are expected to attend TAMA 2003 SA.
The Training Sessions will focus mainly on (South) African students and professionals who deal with multilingual terminology in their daily work.
Target groups
Terminologists in the National Language Service (NLS) of DAC (Department of Arts & Culture) Collaborators of NLS on terminology projects residing in all nine provinces of South Africa Members of Afrilex (African Association for Lexicography) Pan South African Language Board structures, such as the National Language Bodies (14 units), National Lexicography Units (11 units), Provincial Language Committees (9 units) Provincial Government language services and Hansard Units in the provinces Postgraduate terminology and lexicography students from various tertiary institutions of learning Business organizations who would like to start addressing terminology matters in their organizations Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) dealing with communities and knowledge transfer Other interested parties
The Pre-Conference Workshop and the Conference are aimed at

These participants will come from all over the world. TAMA aims at finding new synergies and creating bonds of cooperation and business partnerships for the future.
